Flowcen Global API 602 Forged Steel Extended Body Gate Valves are manufactured with OS&Y rising stem and bolted bonnet configuration, offering clear visual position indication and secure pressure containment. Forged steel body construction provides refined grain flow, superior strength, and resistance to thermal shock compared to cast designs, making it suitable for LNG and sub-zero hydrocarbon services. Wedge gate design ensures tight shut-off and dependable bidirectional isolation.

Internal trim is cryogenic-qualified, consisting of stainless steel stem, wedge, and seat rings selected for low-temperature impact toughness and dimensional stability. Backseat arrangement allows safe packing maintenance in fully open position. Packing system is graphite or PTFE based, selected for low-temperature elasticity and sealing reliability. Gasket materials are matched for cryogenic pressure-temperature performance.

End connections are supplied in socket weld, butt weld, or flanged form, allowing integration into compact cryogenic piping systems. Pressure-temperature ratings comply with ASME B16.34. Valve design and construction follow API 602, with cryogenic service compliance as per BS 6364 and ISO 28921 for low-temperature valve performance.

Testing is conducted in accordance with API 598 and EN 12266-1, including shell test, seat leakage test, and functional operation checks. Manufacturing process includes forged billet traceability, dimensional inspection, NDT of pressure-retaining parts, and final inspection. Surface protection options include cryogenic-grade epoxy, zinc-rich primer, or project-specified coating systems.

Standard operation is handwheel, with gearbox or electric actuator options available for automated cryogenic isolation duties.
