Flowcen Global API 602 HF Acid Forged Steel Gate Valves are engineered for hydrofluoric acid service where specialised metallurgy, compact forged construction and controlled sealing surfaces are essential for safe refinery operation. HF acid handling demands valves built with refined forging quality, uniform grain structure, corrosion resistant trims and strict machining tolerances to prevent leakage, galling or HF attack during thermal cycling.

The design follows the API 602 compact forged pattern with solid wedge construction and guided seating for stable shutoff. Bonnet options include bolted or welded depending on class and project discipline. All wetted areas follow HF compatible machining requirements with smooth surface finish to reduce micro pitting and resist acid penetration. Trim materials are selected to suit HF exposure and maintain dimensional integrity under continuous corrosive duty. Packing sets use graphite grades suitable for HF service and high temperature isolation.

Size range is DN15 to DN100 with pressure ratings Class 800 Class 1500 and Class 2500 for alkylation units and HF recovery circuits. Body materials include HF compatible forged carbon steel with HF resistant alloy trims such as Monel or equivalent variants recommended for critical service. Ends include socket weld, threaded or butt weld ASME B16.25. Flanged ends drilled to ASME B16.5 are available for bolted installation in refinery layouts. External coatings include PU or zinc based systems suitable for atmospheric conditions in HF units.

Design and construction follow API 602 ASME B16.34 and piping integration under ASME B31.3. Each valve is hydrotested at shell and seat pressure, followed by pneumatic tightness checks. Forged sections undergo UT or RT depending on project requirement. Full documentation includes EN 10204 3.1 certificates, forging traceability, GA drawings and HF service quality compliance.

Applications include HF alkylation reactors, HF feed and return lines, neutralisation units, hazardous chemical dosing points, HF recovery trains, refinery isolation blocks and critical containment lines where sealing assurance and correct metallurgy are essential.
